As currently proposed there is no requirement for school districts to increase teacher pay. The State recognizes the importance of balancing decision making between the State and the local governing bodies of school districts. This will likely be a continuing topic of discussion as the proposal moves through the legislative process. The TRF ’96 Fund is not materially impacted by this aspect of the proposal. However, INPRS recognizes that active members of our teacher pension funds would benefit from any pay increase.
