The funds will remain in your account until you and your spouse and/or eligible dependents are deceased. KBA may contact you to ensure you are still alive, but the funds may be used at any time. If you don’t respond, your account may be placed on administrative hold until there is confirmation that you are alive, but the funds are available for use after confirmation is received. If your account balance is less than $5 after six months of inactivity, the account will be closed. Qualified expenses must be submitted within 90 days of the end of the plan year.
