Under Indiana Code 20-31-2-10 and 21-31-9.5, turnaround schools offering PERF or TRF benefits must join PERF or TRF upon the date the Indiana Department of Education signs the contract. Please note employees have a one-time option to decide whether to become a member of PERF or TRF at the time of joining. To join PERF or TRF, please complete the following steps:

- One of our Employer Advocates will send you an email to provide the following forms needed to initiate and complete the joining process:
For turnaround schools offering TRF:
- Employer Enrollment form
- Resolution for Employer Pick-up of Mandatory Member Contributions
- Authorized Agent Designated to Perform Necessary Duties
- Employer Reporting and Maintenance (ERM) System Online Data Setup and User Authorization form
- Resolution for Employer Participation in the Pick-Up of Additional Employee Contributions
For turnaround schools offering PERF:
The Employer Advocate will follow up with you so we can receive and review the documents for approval. Once the documents are approved, the Employer Advocate will provide your approval letters and submission unit number. You will then begin reporting and entering information into ERM.
