Under Indiana Code 20-31-2-10 and 21-31-9.5, turnaround schools offering PERF or TRF benefits are required to join from the date the contract is signed by the Indiana Department of Education. Please note that employees have a one-time option to decide whether to become a member of PERF or TRF at the time of joining. To join PERF or TRF, please complete the following steps:
- Contact the INPRS our Employer Pension Plan Administration (EPPA) team at (888) 876-2707 to inform us that you want to join.
- An Employer Services Representative (ESR) will send an email to provide the following forms that are needed to initiate and complete the joining process:
For turnaround schools offering TRF:
- Employer Enrollment form
- Resolution for Employer Pick-up of Mandatory Member Contributions
- Authorized Agent Designated to Perform Necessary Duties
- Employer Reporting and Maintenance (ERM) System Online Data Setup and User Authorization form
- Resolution for Employer Participation in the Pick-Up of Additional Employee Contributions form
For turnaround schools offering PERF:
The ESR will follow-up with you to obtain the documents and review for approval. Once approved, the ESR will provide your approval letters and submission unit number. You will then begin reporting and entering information into ERM. For further information about ERM, please go here.
